10/20/13: Boo at the Zoo

Every year we go to Boo at the Zoo at the Stone Zoo.  The weather was absolutely beautiful for a day out at the Zoo.  This is our 6th time going to this event and we always enjoy it.  It is a great way to get another wear out of the kid's Halloween Costumes.
Then we went and got to see the real black bears.
They were getting treats.  They give you a schedule when you walk in that has times for when different animals get treats.
The kids giving me a little pose with the bear in the background.
This bear was lucky and got the special pumpkin in the tree.  It had peanut butter on it.
Plus you get to trick or treat on the trail.  All the options are healthy.  There was UNREAL Candy, Cascadian Farms, and Food Should Taste Good.  There was also a costume contest.
The kids had so much fun seeing the animals.  All of the animals were having a great time with the Halloween festivities.
 Relaxing in the sun.
This is my favorite picture of him from two years ago when we went.
Then there was an area with crafts.  My kids love crafts so they loved this.  Here is Lauren making a spider.
Evan making a scarecrow.
I love that Evan was making his scarecrow and two other Police Officers joined him.
Don't worry if you missed Boo at the Zoo at the Stone Zoo you can still go to Zoo Howl at the Franklin Park Zoo on October 26th-27th.
What a Spooktacular day for the kids at the Zoo!
